Teamwork Development Do the teams in your organization achieve results that are on target, on time and within budget? Are your teams integrated, collaborative and inter-dependent work groups or do they function as a collection of individuals who promote and pursue independent goals? Teamwork Assessment The teamwork development process begins with a confidential, on-line, teamwork assessment which is completed for each member of the team, by each member of the team. Each team member is given a numeric score on the 20 competencies that are critical to effective teamwork. During phase two of the teamwork assessment, participants provide confidential, qualitative feedback regarding how their team functions as a group. This information results in an in-depth understanding of teamwork and pinpoints team strengths and areas in need of improvement. The Action Plan Following analysis of the data, each person participates in an individual meeting with one of our teamwork consultants to review a comprehensive report regarding their personal teamwork skills. During this meeting, time is devoted to enhancing understanding of the individual's teamwork profile. Focus is placed on key behavioral strategies which the individual can employ to head-off teamwork challenges and communication pitfalls. The final stage of the Teamwork Assessment Process is a group coaching session where members meet to review a detailed analysis of the group's overall functioning as a team. The coach and team members then identify specific objectives and develop a detailed plan to sustain team strengths and improve team weaknesses. Outcome
